My Basic Travel Essentials

With travel being one of my goals for 2017, I wanted to create more content for you all relevant to this!

My first post is all about the basic travel essentials you need and these are really handy general items you should 100% have when travelling.

Cosmetics Case

My life would be so unorganised without this these cosmetics cases! I love the range you can find at Colette by Colette Hayman. They have a three set co-ordinates which are different sizes and styles. I find these super handy for separating makeup from brushes from palettes and even toiletries!

Quality Suitcase

When travelling, quality suitcases are everything. I cannot describe the embarrassment of a broken wheel, tearing zip or faulty handle in an airport – which has happened to me on more than one occasion! I’ve learnt that spending that little extra is always worth it and I love these suitcases from luggage.co.nz. I’m a huge fan of 4 wheel luggage – I think once you’ve had it, you won’t ever be able to go back. The easy use of just being able to drag it a long with you is perfection. I also feel like my valuables are that little more secure with that added protection of a hard suitcase.

A Way To Track Your Luggage

This was something that was introduced to me fairly recently but it’s like a tracker for your luggage. You tie the leash onto your luggage, download the app and it’s all set to go. One of my biggest worries when travelling is that i will lose my luggage and this ensures you’re far less likely to lose your luggage at the airport or anywhere else for that matter – and if you do, you’ll know where it is!

A Camera To Capture Memories

Capturing moments are essential to any travel. Whether it’s an SLR, disposable or even just your phone. The thing I love about this this camera is great as it’s cheap so you don’t have to worry about potential theft or damage. You also instantly get keepsakes which I love.

Wireless Headphones

A moment of sanctuary can be a life saver when travelling – especially if you’re travelling in a group. Headphones also allows you to listen to what you want without disturbing others. I prefer wireless headphones as you don’t have to worry about getting tangled up in the cord. I also love that I can do a guided mediation or exercise with them too without having to be close to my phone yet still feel like I have my own trainer there with me.

Blockout Eye Mask

If I’m honest with you – I carry one of these around with me every day in my handbag. Sometimes a power nap is needed and sleeping with the bright light of the sun is incredibly difficult. Having one of these handy for both night and day will have you energised for your adventures at your given destination.
